Join Dr. Sonya Brady for a webinar on stress, coping and well-being during the global pandemic. During the webinar, Dr. Brady will share insights into how public health practitioners and individuals can encourage healthy coping behaviors and greater well-being for themselves and their communities. Drawing on her research expertise, she’ll share practical ideas for health promotion during the pandemic, and beyond.
Dr. Brady is an Associate Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health with the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Her program of research examines how normative developmental experiences and stressful life experiences can influence health risk behaviors among youth, and how assets of individuals and their families, peers, schools, and communities can promote health protective behaviors. This includes research on mental health and emotional well-being, sexual health, violence exposure, substance use, and health equity. Her research utilizes technology to measure and promote health protective behaviors among youth. It also utilizes community partnerships and coalitions to reach diverse communities.
This webinar is free and designed for public health professionals, although students and interested individuals are welcome to attend. The webinar will be recorded and available online following the presentation.
