The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH) and the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health (EpiCH) have been awarded several NIH Diversity Supplements in recent years. Jerica Berge, Professor and Vice Chair for Research in the DFMCH and Urszula Parfieniuk and Kendall Choate, pre-awards specialists in DFMCH will first offer their insights on the process for submitting diversity supplements including candidate eligibility clarification, key requirements, steps for submission, and application elements. During the second half of the seminar, they will be joined by Drs. Folsom and Demmer from EpiCH for a panel discussion and Q & A about lessons learned, successes, and difficulties with the NIH Diversity Supplement process.
