The NIH Research Education Program (R25) supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The over-arching goal of this NHLBI R25 program is to support educational activities that enhance the diversity of the biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research workforce by providing research experiences and related opportunities that enrich the pool of individuals from nationally underrepresented groups who will be available to compete for research opportunities in the mission areas of the NIH.
To accomplish the stated over-arching goal, this Program Announcement will support creative educational activities with a primary focus on Research Experiences for underrepresented groups.
The seminar will focus on the criteria for an R-25 application and experience with a funded R-25 in the Medical School.
