Fecal microbiota transplantation has received considerable attention as a highly effective treatment for preventing recurrence of C. difficile infection. Over the past 2 decades the field has evolved from rudimentary “do it yourself” approaches to costly FDA-approved products. This session will cover the history of this period and examine the evidence supporting various products.
