SPH Mentor Program participants are invited to our annual kick-off event. This year, our event will be completely virtual. During the event, program participants will have the opportunity to connect with others, hear tips and successes from past mentoring pairs and learn more about the expectations of the program.
This year, we will also celebrate our 2020 Outstanding Mentor Award recipient, Harrison Quick (MS ’10, PhD ’13). Dr. Quick is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Drexel University in Philadelphia and a Faculty Affiliate of Drexel’s Urban Health Collaborative. Dr. Quick attributes his passion for mentoring to his faculty advisors at the University of Minnesota, who not only supported him during his graduate career but also while he navigated the academic job market and his life on the tenure-track. Take a moment to share a congratulatory note for Dr. Quick via Kudoboard. We’ll share these messages of support with him after the event.
Participants are encouraged to attend with their mentor pair but are not required to. If you are unable to attend, pairs are encouraged to schedule your first meeting during the first few weeks of the program.
