Ms. Alexis Grimes Trotter is a public health professional who has been committed for over seven years to dismantling barriers of inequities for communities of color. Her research focuses on employee health and law regulations implemented to provide protection from a health equity lens. Her dissertation is a multi-method, community-engaged research study that examines fair work policies, work arrangements, worker disempowerment, discrimination, and racism in the food service industry (FSI) and their impact on worker injury and mental health.
