The Executive Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program utilizes an academically rigorous online and classroom format that prepares working professionals for leadership in healthcare administration.

The curriculum focuses on the management of complex, integrated health systems, including the expanded role of physicians, providers, managers, and leaders in those systems. Learning is supported by alumni involvement, innovative leadership projects, and student support by peers, faculty, and staff.

Working with faculty and advisors, you will design and conduct a project to introduce an innovation into your organization. The project provides the opportunity for you to bring together many aspects of your learning into an innovation of significant value.

The program is delivered in a dynamic learning cohort model. Most of the coursework is online; students spend 26 days (five sessions) on campus over 25 months. The program requires a minimum of 42 credits.

Program Competencies

Executive Master of Healthcare Administration program competencies were developed by the National Center for Health Care Leadership. Our program was one of four that piloted the competencies in 2003.

Those competencies are now essential elements of the accreditation of graduate programs in health care administration conducted by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).
