The Division of Environmental Health Sciences is pleased to welcome Hyun Kim to our faculty starting on July 1, 2015.

Kim received his M.Sc. (2004) and Sc.D. (2008) in epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

From 2008 to 2010 he was an instructor in the Department of Preventive Medicine, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and was an assistant professor in the Department of Population Health, Hofstra, North Shore- LIJ School of Medicine from 2010 to 2015.

Kim is an epidemiologist with expertise in occupational and injury epidemiology.

Some of Kim’s current research involves the challenges of ascertaining the long-term public health impact of man-made and natural disasters, including the World Trade Center attacks and Hurricane Sandy.
