Undergraduate BA: Transfer from within the UMN-Twin Cities
Apply now to be a member of the inaugural cohort of the public health bachelor of arts (BA) program at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health!
The public health BA is an advanced-standing admission program, eligible to students who meet the criteria below. The inaugural cohort is limited to 35 students.
The fall 2023 cohort will be limited to current University of Minnesota – Twin Cities undergraduate students. Future admission cycles will be open to students from UMN system campuses and other institutions. More information about those admission processes will be available in fall 2023.

Eligibility
At the time of application, students must have:
- 39 completed credits
- Of the four prerequisite courses, PUB 1202/3202 AND two others must have been completed at time of application, with the fourth either complete or in-progress for Spring 2023. Completed courses must have a C- or better.
- Note that for Fall 2024 and future cycles all prerequisites must be complete by the application deadline.
- Exceptions will be made for prerequisite courses taken during semester where the Office of the Provost allowed S grades, in which case an S in a prerequisite course is acceptable
- 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA
- For the fall 2023 admissions cycle, applicants must be current UMN undergraduate students.
